Divisions of the Oxford Police Department

Administrative Division

Captain L. G. Owens

The Administrative Division manages all Administrative Services for the agency, which include event planning and logistics, community programs, the security and patrol of city parks, and other in-house administrative functions. Also managed within the Administrative Division are the agency’s Special Services, which include the East Metro Area Crime Center, the Emergency Services Unit (SWAT), and the Aviation Unit.     

 

Uniform Division

Captain Daniel Phipps

The Oxford Police Departments Uniform Division is the largest division in the police department and provides an array of services. The Uniform Division manages Uniform Services which include patrol, Special Investigations (Narcotics), communications, and the department’s Honor Guard.

Criminal Investigations Division

Captain Josh Miller

The Oxford Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division investigates criminal activity; primarily within the City of Oxford. The majority of investigated cases are those which are reported through the patrol division. As well, the division maintains the Office of Professional Standards (internal affairs) and Forensic Services.
